Brothers and sisters it is a sad day today for reports have emerged that our beloved Imam Anwar al-Awlaki has been made shaheed.
Various reports have emerged from Yemeni news sources claiming this, the BBC website has also stated that "unnamed US officials confirmed the reports".
Should these reports of his killing be true then I am both happy and sad.
Happy because an Imam I loved so dearly, an Imam that touched the hearts of many, an Imam who lived the life of da'wah, struggle, jihad, has been made Shaheed, and so he will get the great rewards of a Shaheed (Martyr), insha'Allah.
And I am sad because he was a great asset to the Muslim Ummah. He inspired many, and left a legacy of audio recordings from which we will benefit for many years to come, insha'Allah.
Let us see what Allah has said about those such as Imam Anwar al-Awlaki in the Qur'an
And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah , "They are dead." Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not.
And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,
Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah , and indeed to Him we will return.
Al-Baqarah 2:154-156
If you are a keen listener of Imam Anwar al-Awlaki's talks then you'll know that he got what he wanted, martyrdom on the path of Allah, the path of Islam, the only path acceptable by Allah.
This is not a victory for the West. However, for us, for Imam Anwar al-Awlaki, this is the ultimate victory. Whether we win or lose the battle, ultimately we are victorious. For Islam will carry on with or without us, the trick is to be part of that continuation of Islam.

May Allah aza wa jallah make my death just like his. May i die by the hand of a kufar due to daàwa and shahid. Ameen

He has revived the sahabas of Mohammed s.w.a. in the manner of his of how he tells the stories along with the Prophet and his passion of talking makes me cry to the point that I would of joined this great leaders of islam.May Allah s.w.a reward him for all that he has left behind insperation and knowledge.mashallah and allahamdulliah.

I became Sheikh's fan on listening to his one of the audios, which was my first listening of his lectures. Then I collected almost all of his lectures on Islam. I have never heard from anyone who is as clear, as perfect and as educative, which would remind each and every muslim ummah, what we are. May Allah accept his Shahadah and reward him the greater levels of Jannah. We will miss him in our whole life. Let us all pray for him.

This is all happening because we do not have strength of being one. In fact all Muslims are one,but today the so-called Muslims are no following oneness of Allah(Tawheed), all because of this. We are not able to understand the sayings of our Beloved prophet Muhammed(PBUH)oh brothers of Islam please come to what we have in common(hanafi,shafiee,malikee and hambalee). Please dont divide yourself in four sects and after soooo many.come to one line(Quraan and sunnah). Any body wants to have more clarity please write to me.

I intended to buy some of his works from Al Basheer publications but they no longer have them up for online sale so I search and came up with kalamullah.com and many other sites from where I downloaded all of his works fearing soon there will be none.
So you see the Americans or Obama may have pressured the publisher to withdraw his lectures.
