Islam View Towards Economy and Society

Islam is under the attack by various sections of media and politics across the globe. Whatever untoward happens in any part of the world; Islam immediately is lambasted, attacked and blamed for that. It is done mostly by the people who are biased and have parochial mindset towards this religion.

Islam, essentially, is castigated for not being presented in a prudent way by its advocates. It is quite unfortunate that various Muslim scholars who have taken the responsibility to defend Islam have superficial knowledge about their religion. This paves the way for those who want to malign this great religion.

Through this article I will highlight Islam's point of view on three most important matters 1) economy 2) education and 3) social responsibilities. This article will elaborate how Islam treats these three most important elements of this world and how myriad problems of this world regarding to these three issues can be solved by incorporating the Islamic ways.

Islam's view on economy: in spite of all the much bragged about economic plans of western financial engineer; big part of the world is suffering with poverty, hunger and struggling to meet the ends. Islam urges on looking after those struggling to earn bread Islamic charities are the physical form of this notion.

In such type of charities, a group of trustees is formed to look after, plan and organized the donated assets. The group of trustees is authorized to make any kind of decision. They can even hire further people like consultants to ensure the optimum use of assets donated by donors. All these activities are performed to help the financially struggling people and nothing is for the personal benefit of donors. The concept of such charities exudes how Islam forces the Muslims to contribute in society. Had this notion been taken by the so-called adroit western economists; things would have been totally different and large chunk of the world would have not been living below the poverty line.

Furthermore, Islam strictly forbids any kind of speculation to earn money. It urges it followers to take the path of hard work and intelligence to augment the income. Whereas, western economists lure people into the speculation business which has made many people lose their money and go bankrupt.

Islam's view towards society: Islam teaches its followers to take responsibility of society. It strongly condemns the self centeredness and idea of enjoying life without paying much heed to the misery of people around. Allah has made it clear to the Muslims through its holly book Quran that I can overlook your responsibilities towards me but I cannot ignore your responsibilities towards other human beings. Hence, Islam is the great advocate of community training and awareness. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would personally demonstrate it through listening and helping the people in trouble.

To be precise, following the Islam and its teachings is the only remedy to all the financial and socio political problems of this world. Even, many western scholars are now emphasizing on the fact that Islam came up with most prudent ideas through Quran.

Islam is the great advocate of community training and awareness. Islam urges on looking after those struggling to earn bread Islamic charities are the physical form of this notion.
