Muslims Protest Against Pervez Musharraf at Birmingham

The Muslims gathered today under a flyover in Birmingham, in order to protest against the Ex-President Pervez Musharraf's plan to create a new party and re-enter Pakistani politics.

Pakistani Muslims, as well as Muslims of other races gathered in defiance against the tyrant.

The peaceful protest lasted from about 11.30am to around 4pm, after which the protesters happily made their way to the fish and chip shop on the road behind them.

Ex-President Musharraf was supposed to arrive for 12pm, but arrived very late at around about 3pm, and used the back entrance, true to his cowardly form.

Large photos of the Ex-President were held up with a sandle tied to it with a string, in order to slap it against his image.

Protesters stood guard even at the back entrance and reports came in that as they slammed the sandal against Musharraf's photo, the Ex-President waved his middle finger at the Protestors from his vehicle, as he rolled in through the back [worth mentioning twice].

Hizb-ut-Tahrir, the organisation responsible for the protest have reported over 200 supporters to have attended the protest. I myself had gone there to join in with brothers from in and around London. Many others had come from far to join in and make their voices be heard.

The Ex-President will be visiting Manchester next week to hold another confrence, and the protest intends to follow him there too.
